Phil makes move to Manchester United|
Phil has made a bigmoney move from Blackburn to Manchester United for a whopping £17 million!! Not bad for a 19yr old! Well done Phil! Congratulations also on your U21 performances for England in the European Championships! Link to Manchester United Website's report of the signing:

Philip Anthony "Phil" Jones (born 21 February 1992) is an ex- Balshavian who plays for Premier League club Blackburn Rovers, as a defender/ defensive midfield. May 2011.. Reports from newspapers are that he is in great demand from some of our top clubs. For example the Daily Mail reports that: "Liverpool are also ready to make a formal offer to Blackburn for £15m-rated Jones, though they face a battle for him with Arsenal and Tottenham". International Career: Phil has represented the England U19's making his debut in the 3-1 win over Turkey on the 17 November 2009. On 4 August 2010, Phil was called up to the England U21 squad. On 10 August, Phil won his first under-21 cap, starting for England against Uzbekistan. He was substituted in the 46th minute, having been replaced by Liverpool's Martin Kelly. He is currently in the England's U21 squad for the European championships in Denmark (June 2011 ).
